Text Box: Text Box: Text Box: Text Box: We own a variety of bucks to use for different purposes on different types of does. Our bucks vary from a tight-highest, ultra smooth wether buck to a red buck, from a Ripper son to a thick quartered doe maker Boilermaker son. We prefer to own bucks in partnerships, that way more people can use the buck quicker, and the bucks strengths and weaknesses are found, and his kids promote themselves more quickly.
Text Box: Red Illusion came to us when we purchased a herd sell-out. He was bred by Davidson Livestock in Ohio. He is a War Chief (War Paint) over a Dr. Pepper daughter.

Red Illusion is a very complete buck, and we think he will make does and wethers. He is moderate framed, stout, and muscular. This is one of the better red bucks we have found.

Text Box: We bought Wal Mart from Paul Kinslow of Legacy Farms. He got off to a bad start on a bad recip and a bad case of listerosis, but there is not much else you can pick apart on him. We called him “Wal Mart” because he has it all. Did I mention he is an own son of THE Ripper? And out of Paul and Gary Duncan’s awesome Design 19 show doe? And the buck on the right is a flushmate that sold for $6000 this fall?

We’re exposing a select group of does for March kids.

Bones II

Text Box: Bones II is what we call our son of Steve Dahnke’s “Bones” buck. Bones II is the first son born from this buck, and he sure doesn’t disappoint. “Bones” is a Totally Ripped over a Spirit daughter, combining two of Dahnke’s best wether lines he has ever had. Bones II is out of Fern Hollow Farm Paprika, a massive, red, double-bred T4 Scorpio doe we found and fell in love with. This picture of Bones II doesn’t do him justice and we’ll get a new one up soon. Bones II is much like his father in that he is extremely up-fronted, shallow-bodied, with a good turn to his rib and a great hip. The great red doe brings in length of side, a level hip, and unparalleled soundness. Bones II is only a February kid, but we plan on using him selectively for early-winter kids.

Heersink Y937 “EYE CANDY”

Text Box: We found Eye Candy and knew we needed to have him. His genetics are a masterful blend of proven, great wether genetics. We sincerely thank Ken Heersink of Colorado for the making this guy and giving us the chance to obtain him. We feel Eye Candy is going to maintain the look of our does, but add a better touch, more center body dimension, a better flare to the hip, and a firmer touch. Eye Candy is a grandson of Hutto Crockett on top and out of a Raff-influenced triple-bred Colt 45 doe. We’re breeding him hard for fall ‘10 kids.

AABG Money Shot

Text Box: Money Shot more came to us than we found him. We bought a doe out of the Winning Traditions sale and went the next day to pick her up at Gary and Sandy Duncan’s of Able Acres. We mentioned we were somewhat in the hunt for a new buck, and this guy was in the first pen we saw. We were hooked from the first sight. Money Shot is a Wideload son. We’ll admit the Wideload progeny aren’t always our favorites, but Money Shot is special in that he is out of AABG Rippin’ Brass, dam to Status Quo. Money Shot is a half-sib to Status Quo and Stimulus Package. Money Shot is a double-bred TLB Ripper grandson, these are hard to find. This double shot of Ripper brings a ton of muscle mass, a great top with a massive rack, and a great touch. The mass Money Shot offers is just what we need.
