We have always produced nice wethers here.  For the 2007 season we took a step.  In a partnership we now have a wether-specific portion of our operation.  A hand picked group of 20 does are being bred to several of our bucks, with the sole intention of producing fall and early winter wethers that will be competitive at any level, any where.  This is a joint venture between us and Barry Scales/Steve King.  They’ve been raising good goats for years, and together we feel we can take the next step.  We want to produce the best wethers in the state in the very near future, and feel this is a goal we can attain.

 

The does are stylish, big hipped, hard muscled and correct.  We will be using this core group of does crossed over our bucks.  902 will be our lead wether sire and Bo-Vision and Bo-Sport will sire the rest of the group of our wether kids. 

 

These kids will be dehorned, vaccinated, and started on N-Timidator  by the sale time next spring.  This is a very exciting new part of our operation. 

 

This year we have wethers in 10 counties in Indiana, and we’ll post the results as soon as they come in.  We’re positive they will be impressive.  Feel free to contact us at any time to talk about our wethers, we would love to.

This is a 2007 wether out of Bo-Vision bred by S & A farms.  Not much needs to be said.  Look at that mass and shape. 

In 2009 the All Star Sale took our wether program to new heights.  We sold 5 wethers for an average of $600.  We feel this is just the beginning.  Two of the best wethers we have ever offered were January wethers out of “Impact”.  The future for our wether program is the sky with this buck and his siring potential.  As the 2009 selling season winds down, the show season is beginning to wind up.  Stay tuned  in the coming months as there are sure to be some major winners from this set of wethers in the coming months.  We also sincerely thank all of our buyers and look forward to hearing form you throughout the year.  Good luck!
