Welcome to the website of R 1 Boer Goats and Slisher Show Stock. We are two operations with similar goals that strategically cooperate to further each program. Each part of the team brings strengths to the partnerships, and with this it puts us in the best position possible to serve our customers to the fullest extent. We feel we have a lot to offer in the world of competitive show wethers, show steers, and breeding stock. Please take a look around the website to view our genetics and program goals. R 1 Boer Goats

R 1 Boer Goats is a family operation consisting of Ben Reason (founder), Madeline Moeller (sister), and Luana Phillips (grandmother). R 1 was started, as many farms are, from the beginnings of a 4-H project. The 'bug' stuck, and in 2002, R 1 Boer Goats was born. Since then, we have made great strides in the quality of stock we raise, and consistently strive to get better.

Look around the website to take a look at what we have to offer. We feel we are on the fast track to becoming an elite breeder. We have added goats with great phenotypes and genotypes, and flush great donors regularly to speed up the rate of improvement of our herd.

Slisher Show Stock

Slisher Show Stock is a family operation ran by Bryan Michaela and daughters Bryana and Ginger. We run herds of both breeding stock and wether oriented herds of Boer goats along with a quality herd of club calf-producing cattle.

Through the utilization of AI, embryo transfer, and elite genetics in both the goat and the cattle programs, we attempt to further our herds each year. We have experienced some success so far in these businesses, and look forward to much success in the future.
