Text Box: Text Box: Text Box: Text Box: Text Box: Text Box: Welcome to R 1 Boer Goats. We are a family farm located in Rochester, Indiana that produces top-quality show wethers, first-rate show does, and productive, useful aged does. Ben (brother) , Luana (grandmother), and Madeline (sister) do the day to day operations to keep our herd of 20-30 brood does running smoothly. We sell stock off the farm year round, but our main sales are wether sales in the spring, show doe kids in the spring, and we also sometimes sell quality bred does in the fall. As of 2/23 we are done with kidding until March and busy getting high-quality show kids ready to sell. Thanks for taking the time to visit and please stay and look around.

Text Box: Announcing the arrival of Bosque Valley 64V. We had been looking for the ONE for a while. When Steve Dahnke and Lary Duncan would part with her, we new we had found her. We’re taking orders for embryos out of her next flush now. She has won her class both times out so far this summer.

New Bucks

AABG Money Shot

  Heersink Y937 “Eye Candy”

Text Box: We are always looking for the next step for our program. We liked the ‘10 kids, but we know there is a lot more potential to be tapped in our doe base. With an idea of what we wanted and needed, we were ready to hitch up the trailer and not stop until we found what we needed. We wound up with these two young bucks as the next step and really think they bring a lot to the table. Loads of muscle where it counts, thin, tight hides, and good hips in a pretty package are their stronger points. We sincerely thank Sandy and Gary Duncan at Able Acres and Ken Heersink at Heersink Ranch for the opportunity to procure these bucks for our program. For those interested in bloodlines, neither will disappoint. Money Shot is an ANR Wideload (NGC 08), but maybe even more impressive he is out of AABG Rippin Brass, the dam to Status Quo and Stimulus Package. No doubt this doe does not miss. Eye Candy is a grandson of BOB S437, better known as Hutto Crockett and out of a triple-bred Colt 45 doe that goes back to a flushmate of the mother of Raff’s Out of Bounds buck. We’re hoping these new, royally-bred genetics will infuse into our program the pieces we’re looking for. Go to the Buck Power page for more information, or better yet come see them in person. Both are being used heavily for Fall/Winter 2010 kids and will sire the majority of our show wethers.
